Jordan, a 12-year-old Quarter Horse mare in active 2nd/3rd level dressage training, presented with a chronic, multi-factorial history including hind-end trauma, proprioceptive deficits (left hind emphasized), recurrent pelvic asymmetry, and documented suspensory branch enlargement. Over a 4+ week period (Nov–Dec 2019), a staged adjunctive plan using 2-way stretch tape was implemented alongside ongoing veterinary, chiropractic, farriery, and conditioning management, with applications targeting lumbar/pelvic neurosensory input, cervical ROM and soft tissue tone, distal limb proprioceptive support, and workload-compatible back/hamstring relaxation strategies. Case notes described progressive improvement in stocking-up, pain response, gait quality, and under-saddle suppleness, with protocol selection and wear time repeatedly adapted to coat condition/adhesion limits and the demands of an active training schedule.
